It’s a great arrow for crossbow hunting. We often get asked what lighted nock is best for Stryker arrows. But what lighted nock is the right one for these arrows?

Lighted nocks are incredibly popular for bowhunter’s and crossbow hunters. They are a big help in identifying where the arrow hits an animal and in finding your arrow. Most of our crossbow customers always order lighted nocks on their arrows when ordering a new crossbow. They are simply a very handy tool for hunting.

What about lighted nocks for a Stryker crossbow? The new Stryker arrows are really 20” Gold Tip Laser 3 arrows. The arrows are labeled Octane AccuStrike Crossbow Bolts. It’s a great arrow for crossbow hunting. We often get asked what lighted nock is best for Stryker arrows. You can put lighted nocks on the arrows by removing the metal collar near the nock.

That sounds simple enough but there is a problem. The Stryker 380 and 350 generate a lot of torque. Bowtech has done a lot of testing and they have found that the Stryker crossbows do not perform well using lighted nocks. In fact, the crossbow will fail if shot repeatedly with lighted nocks. We’ve seen string failures as well as limb failures when used with lighted nocks.

For this reason, we do not recommend putting lighted nocks on arrows used with Stryker crossbows.
